    Alexander I inherited the throne in 1801. He supported liberal ideas. He slowly started to ease censorship. He also supported and promoted educatation. He also talked about freeing the serfs. He died in 1825.

    Alexander always wanted to inherit the throne. He inhertited the throne in 1855 when the Crimean War was going on. He studied a lot of things. He studied math, physics, history, statistics, and law.
  • Nicholas I

    Nicholas I
    People revolted against him. Nicolas wanted to accomplish new regulations and rules to prevent the spread of the liberal movement to Russia.
  • Alexander III

    Alexanders father was assasinated. Alexander whiped out the liberals and revolutionaries by making his secret police stronger. He brought back censorship. Alexander decided to stick to the Russian language and the Russian Orthodox Church.
  • Nicholas II

    Nicholas II
    Nicholas was the last Emperor of Russia. He invested in transportation systems and industries. He took loans from France to help build railroads.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday
    It was a massacre in St. Petersburg in Russia. Unarmed people striking to present a petition to Nicholas were shot and gunned down.
  • Revolution of 1905

    Revolution of 1905
    The terrorist targeted officials. General strikes spread to most of the large cities. Workers became revolutionary governments. The main cause of the Revolution of 1905 was the Ramanov dynasty. They treated their citizens like slaves.
