  • 1200 - The Aztecs arrive in the Valley of Mexico

  • 1350- Causeways and canals are built in Tenochtitlan

  • 1452- Tenochtitlan suffers from floods

  • 1440- Moctezuma becomes leader

  • 1487- Templo Mayor is finished being built

  • 1519- Cortes arrives to Tenochtitlan with his small army

  • 1521- Cortes defeats the Aztecs. Disease took most of Aztec population.

  • 1522- Spanish inslave Aztecs and rebuild the city now known as Mexico City
