Cortes conquers Aztec Empire

After they had given him very large amounts of gold, Hernando Cortes and his men conquered the Aztec empire. The Spaniards were aided by the fact that the locals were not immune to their diseases and died in massive amounts because of it.

Pizarro Conquers Incan Empire

Spanish conquistador, Francisco Pizarro, entered South America and met up with the Incans. After capturing and killing the Inca's leader, Pizarro and his men marched into the Incan capital and conquered it.

English Found Jamestown

After hering about the Spanish and French, The English were inspired to colonize the americas. In 1606 England sent out 3 ships and 100 settlers to colonize North America, and, after monthes of sailing, they landed and nemed their settlement Jamestown.

English Found Plymouth

Because They wanted Religious freedom, The pilgrims also wanted to settle in the americas. In 1620, They landed and created the second English colony, which they named Plymouth.

French and Indian War Ends

After settling for a while, France and England began to fight over land in North America. Eventually, with the help of the British Army, The French were defeated, and England won the land.
