Armenian Genocide
The Armenian genocide had begun in the year of 1915 when over 660,000 - 1.2 million Armenians have been massacred and deported by the Ottoman Empire including Turkish soldiers. Many Armenians have been either killed by the Turks or have been given ill treatment, starvation and exposure. Throughout the war, the Ottoman Empire also blamed the Armenians causing the growth of nationalism and discrimination towards them. During that time, many Armenians had also been forced to convert to Islam.
