1948 War Six-day War
This was the second stage of the Palistinian war. State of Israel and military coalition of Arab states and Palistaine arab forces. There had been alot of tension between the Arabs and the jews since the creation of the Balfur Declaration. Both of them were dissatisfied with British policies. It lasted 9 months 3 weeks and 2 days. Making it end on March 10th 1949. -
Yom-Kippur War
Arab launched a joint surprise attack on Israeli positions, on the holliest day in Judaism , U.S. and Soviet initiated massive resupply effort to allies, near-confrontation between 2 huge nuclear superpowers. -
Camp David
13 days of secret negotiations, Camp David Accords, 1978 Sadat and Begin recieved Nobel Peace Prize, Signing was witnessed by Jimmy Carter in the White House, one major framework, it delt with the Palistinian territories. -
Suez War War of 1982 (Lebanon)
Opperation Peace for Galilee, Israel difence force invaded Southern Lebanon, Israel. Military opperation after failed attempt of an assasination. Attack came after the President of Egypt decided to nationalize the Suez Canal after the fact that Britain made an offer with the United States to build the Aswan Dam. As a result the UNEF would moniter the Egyption-Israeli border to prevent future fighting. -
First Intifada
Palestein uprising against the Israeli occupation of their own territories. Started with the killings of innocent people in refugee camps. People started to go on strike and boycott the Israeli productions. Out of this they signed the Oslo Accords ending this on September 13, 1993. -
Middle East in the 1990's Assasination
Egypt- Dr. Rif'at al Mahgoub, speaker of the peoples assembly was assassination, was linked to Anwar Sadat's assasssination by the Fundementilist army officers. -

Oslo Accords
Set of agreements between the government of Israel and also with PLO. There were two diffrent Accords signed. The first one was signed in Oslo in 1993. The second one was signed in Taba in 1995. Signing the Accords marks the start of the Oslo process. Was formed after the peace treaty of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 242 and also number 338. My Opinion
My opinion is that there is alot of drama that is between all of these countries in the Middle East. They are always fighting it seems no matter how many treaties they have they are always still fighting. I think they need to figure out what they are all fighting about and then figure out what to do next about it.
