    Today we reviewed how to draw slope fields given a differential equation, and how to approximate a function value using Euler's method. We also reviewed the two types of the logistics function. I am comfortable with slope fields and Euler's method, but I should study logistics.
  • Infinite Series

    Infinite Series
    We reviewed p-series, geometric, telescoping, and alternating series. We also reviewed the tests for convergence, including the nth term, integral, direct comparison, limit comparison, ratio, and root tests. I am comfortable with most of this material, but I need to work on the integral test.
  • Taylor Polynomials, Series, and Remainder

    Taylor Polynomials, Series, and Remainder
    We reviewed how to approximate a function using Talyor and Maclaurin series, and how to bound the error with LaGrange. We also reviewed how to find the radius and interval of convergence of a power series. I need to study the LaGrange error bound.

    Today we worked on practice questions for Taylor/Maclaurin polynomials, power series, and error. I feel like I know these topics well.

    Advanced Integration and Limits
    We reviewed partial fractions, L'Hopitals's rule, intederminate forms of limits, integration by parts, and improper (infinite integrals). I need to study the indederminate forms.
  • Volume of a Solid of Revolution

    Volume of a Solid of Revolution
    Today we reviewed how to find the volume of an area rotated about an axis, using the disk, washer and shell methods. We also reviewed finding the volume of a rotated region with cross sectional areas. I feel comfortable in memorizing the formulas and understanding how they work.

    We reviewed polar material, including graphs, coordinates, derivatives, area, arc length, and surface area of revolution. I am comfortable with these topics.

    We took the test on polar topics. I feel like I did well on it.

    Today there was a substitute teacher and we completed practice free response and multiple choice problems. I was confident in my answers.

    I took the test and I thought I did well on it. I feel like I either got a 4 or a 5.
