    The Peloponnesian war was a war between Athens and Sparta for power. Sparta marched to Athens and burned all the crops and waited and begged to fight Athens. Soon they ran out of food and returned to Sparta. Then a plague swept through Athens an it killed Pericles. Then Alcibiades took over and tried to attack Sicily but got wrecked by Sparta. Finally Sparta conquered Athens.
