  • Signs and Symptoms

    Hives, Flushing, Swelling of face, itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, rapid breathing. Physiologic effects:
    Vasodilatation
    Vascular permeability
    Myocardial (heart) depression
    Muscle contraction, breathing, and shortness of breaths. How to recognize symptoms of anaphylaxis:
    Tightening of throat - Difficulty breathing
    Shortness of breath – Chest tightness
    Hives, swelling, itching
    Cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
    Drop in blood pressure or loss of consciousness
  • Exposure to allergies

    Causes dilation of blood vessels increases heart rate, decreases blood pressure.
