The Richfield Coliseum was introduced in 1974 as the new home of the Cavs. It had a seating capacity of over 20,000, much larger than the dwindling confines of the Cleveleand Arena, which was used for the first four seasons, allowing only 12,000 people at crammed capacity.

By this time, the Cavaliers have signed some notable players (still an expansion team) and ended the season on a great note. They posted a winning record and Austin Carr made the playoff team.

By the 1994 season, the Cavs were relocated to Cleveland, where their new home was the Gund Arena, named after the bother's Gund. The coliseum was vacant for five years, eventually being destroyed. Was this a bad business move by Summit county? A place where Stevie Wonder, Muhammed Ali, and loads of other performers graced us wth their talents.
