    First Nations: "We are very upset about the French lying to us, our friendship will come to an end!"
    French: "We should have thought this through before we took the First Nations back to France. We hope to pursuade them to fix our alliance."
    British: "Wow the French really messed up! Hopefully we can make an allience the First Nations instead."
    Synopsis: Jacques Cartier took Donnaconna and his son's back to Europe and lied to the First Nation's about the death of some First Nation's men.

    First Nations; (Mi'kmaq) "What are these people doing here? This is our land, we hope they do not try to take over and interfere with our traditions."
    French: "Yes! More land and power for us. We are hoping to make trade with these First Nations."
    British: "We hope that the French destroy their allience with the Mi`kmaq and their settlement will do down in flames!!"
    Synopsis: Champlain assists in founding Port Royal in the Bay of Fundy.

    French: "More land for us! Hopefully we can gain control over the St. Lawrence River."
    British: "We will have to try to take control over the St.Lawrence River to gain more power and control!"
    Synopsis: Champlain establishes Quebec City at a strategic location overlooking a narrow section of the St. Lawrence River.

    First Nations:"Now that there are more of them they are stealing the land that we once shared".
    French:"This our chance to finally over power the British and make some profit"!
    British:"What? The French are populating North America? We should fight back!"
    Synopsis: The colony needed women to marry the male colonists and raise families. Without them, New France would fail to grow and prosper.
    The King sent about 870 single women to New France from 1663 to 1673 to marry,

    First Nations: "We are excited to try this new trading post! It is very easy to acess by canoe."
    British: We started the Hudson Bay Company to trade furs."It was the best idea we ever had!!!"
    French: "The First Nations are trading all their furs with the British! We should start our own trading company."
    Synopsis: Britain became a dominant force in the North American fur trade with the establishment of the Hudson's Bay Company.

    First Nations: "This man told us about a great opportunity to give furs to the Hudson Bay Company. So we showed him the herd of bison that roamed the plains."
    British: "We hope that by making peace with the Siksika we will be able to increase profits for the HBC"
    French: "We hope the British do not get very far with the Siksika."
    Synopsis: (Could not find correct date) Henry Kelsy encountered the Siksika nation and they showed him the bison on the plains in exchange for furs for the Hudson's Bay

    First Nations:"It is finally nice to no longer be included in European conflict."
    British:"Because we agreed to this treaty we are now at peace, but that doesn't mean we should trust the French 100% of the time.
    French:Now that our nations are at peace we are no longer as limmited to our dessisions.
    Synopsis: The French and British fought many wars against each other in Europe. In 1713, the two imperial powers signed the Treaty of Utrecht to create peace in Europe.

    First Nations: "We are now part of the Haudenosaunee nation. We are part of one clan with the Haudenosaunee, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca."
    French: "Perfect now we can take over their land and gain more power. We will trade with them and make alliences."
    British: "Great, we will now be able to form many alliences with this new clan. We hope we will get to them before the French!"
    Synopsis: A sixth nation joined the alliance. It became known as the six nations confedracy.

    French:"This Fortress is to strong for any opposing force to evercome, were safe here".
    Brittish:"Quebec is perfectly vulnerable with only one access rout from the Atlantic"!
    First Nations:"It's nice to have a strong allie like Quebec"!
    Synopsis: Quebec was the center of French power in North America, and it was still growing. Qubec was divided into an upper and lower town. The upper was walled off and for the wealthey while the lower was less protected and held shops along St. Lawrence.

    French:"This war has gotten to the point of no end, now that the whole world is involved".
    Brittish:"Even our navy is being overwhelmed by the many opposing powers of the war".
    First Nations:"We were dragged in by the Europeans and are now watching our people die".
    Synopsis:The Seven Years War (1754-63) was a war fought world wide, it was almost considered a world war. But the main powers were the Brittish, French, Spain etc. The treaty of paris was signed by all belligerents wich ended the war.

    British: It was fair for us beacuse the more land we own the more money we will get.
    French: It wasnt fair because the british were just kicking us out of are own homes.

    First Nations: this isnt fair we were allies with the british and now we are losing more and more land.
    British: we feel this was fair because now we have more land to own.
    French: what! how could they just come on are land and force us to leave.

    First Nations: "Why do these people always fight on our land? They don't deserve to take our land!"
    British:"Woohoo! We won the battle, now Quebec is ours. Take that Fench."
    French: "We may have lost this battle but the British better beaware because were determined to win the next battle!"
    Synopsis: The British and French battled on the Plains of Abraham for the control of Quebec. It was the bloodiest battle ever fought on Canadian soil.
  • Treaty of Paris

    First Nations: "Why weren't we invited to the signing of this treaty?"
    British: "Yes! We get all of North America. The French finally gave up!"
    French: "We wish we never signed this treaty in the first place!"
    Synopsis:British and the French signed the treaty of paris ending the conflicts between them. In the treaty the French had to give up all of North America to the British.
  • Royal Proclamation

    First Nations: "we get the interior set aside for us thanks to the British"
    British:"Yeah the french now have to follow our laws and goverment"
    French:"The british took our identities thats not fair"
    Synopsis:the British wanted the canadians to become one of them by taking there system and replacing it with the British laws and court.

    Brittish:"The French are making a bigger effort in there travels, maybe we should as well".
    French:"We set out on our journy guided by Mattonabbe, we can only hope for great success".
    First Nations:"We will be headed for Coppermine, we may have to suffer some bad weather but we will try our best to map out the area".
    Synopsis:Samuel Hearne, Mattonabe and eight of his wives travel to find Coppermine River.

    First Nations:"The British are taking control of North America and are decreasing our land space."
    British:"Our plan failed the French are stronger and we can't do anything about it."
    French:"The British can't take away our identities we have developed a strong colony."
    Synopsis:The British failed at trying to change the Canadians identities because the Canadians had build and strong sense of identity.

    Brittish:"Today we set out looking for the North West passage.
    French:"Maybe they will discover the passage"
    First nations:"A French man arrived in our camp today, not to many European' visit our camp so we decided to greet him with respect ".
    Synopsis: Captain James Cook was one of the first European's to reach Hawaiian Islands where he then sailed exploring the northwest coast of America when his ship was turned around in a storm and he ended up in Vancoover.
  • Foundation of the North West Company.

    French:"Now that we have a stable trading buisness we can create a better profit and maybe sell out the HBC".
    British:"The French have created a fur trade company of their own, looks like we now have much stronger competition".
    First Nations:"We are excited that there is a new company even closer for us to make trade"!
    Synopsis: A group of men from New France created a fur trade company with strong competition, they were later forced to
    merge with the Hudson's Bay Company.
