    London Port

    London Port
We started at the port of London on October 10th 1525. The port of London was the headquarters of East Indian trading. Our goal is to go around the tip of Africa and make it to India and back with many goods such as spices and silks. We set out as an armada of 5 ships.

    Day 25 at sea

    Day 25 at sea
We have now been at sea for 25 days. So far it has not been treacherous but this is only the beginning. We have gone through about half of our provisions. Our armada of 5 ships are still going strong as well.

    Amsterdam

    Amsterdam
After about two months at sea we needed to stop for provisions. We decided to make at stop at Amsterdam port. Amsterdam was part of the Dutch empire which stretched as far as Southern Africa. After we stocked up on provisions we followed the West coast of Africa Southward.

    Storm

    Storm
We've been facing horrific storms for the past week. We lost our most important ship. Our ship with most of our provisions was hit by a large wave capsizing it. I looks like the storm is starting to clear up but we will need to make another stop.

    Lisbon port

    Lisbon port
After getting hit by a storm a week and a half ago we needed to stop at another port to recover. The crewmen are exhausted from tending to the ship and we all needed a break. So we decided to stay at Lisbon for a month to restock and provisions and clear our heads.

    Leaving Lisbon

    Leaving Lisbon
When we arrived in Lisbon our plan was to leave within a month. Although the crewmen scattered around the town and refused to leave that early. They demanded for another month to relax. This frustrated me and when they didn't leave for another month after that they crossed the line. I hired mercenaries and hunted for them and forced them all to leave on July 30th 1526.

    Pirates

    Pirates
After a couple weeks at sea things were going smoothly. Other than the restless crewman of course. We were on our way to the the Cape of Good Hope when we saw an armada of 5 ships on the horizon. We thought they were fellow tradesmen until they started firing cannons. Unfortunately, we only had one ship armed with cannons so we had to leave a ship behind and leave as quickly as possible. We lost 5 men in that encounter.

    Cape of Good Hope

    Cape of Good Hope
As we finally arrive at the Cape of Good Hope, we are exhausted and hungry. The ship that the pirates captured dried us of a lot of provisions. Cape town located at the Southern tip of Africa should allow us to restock and continue our journey to India where we can collect our goods and return home. This is a vital landmark in our journey.

    Leaving Cape Town

We decided to leave Cape town much faster than Lisbon. This is because we did not want the pirates to catch up to us. If the pirates found us, it could bring bad news. If we lose another ship that would limit the provisions we could hold and we have a long trip ahead of us. From here we are going nonstop to India to trade for goods.

    Madras Port (Trading Port)

    Madras Port (Trading Port)
After about of year of travelling we finally reached our destination, madras port. This is where we collect all of our goods and head back to London. Our sponsors will be very happy with our return. We have faced many tragedies on the way but it was worth it because these trades will make us all rich. Well, mostly me but the crewmen will get their fair share. Now, after we collect our goods we will head back to London which will be another long and treacherous journey.
