Abraham almost sacrificed Isaac because God told him to. God promised Abraham He will bless him with a son. God didn't allow him to sacrifice Isaac. He provided a lamb for the sacrifice. This reflects His glory in this story because God didn't sacrifice us humans for our sins, he provided Jesus to die on the cross for us. https://biblehub.com/timeline/

Genesis 27:15-16
Rebekah gave Jacob Esau's clothes and told him to wear goatskin so his father would think Jacob is Esau.
- When God sent Jesus down to Earth to save us from our sins, he made Jesus become a human being and wear human skin. Jacob took the consequences of his actions and Jesus died on the cross and took humans sins with him. Jacob took the punishment, not because of his own selfish desire. Jesus didn't die on the cross because of his own desires.

Mark 1: 11
"and a voice came out of the heavens: "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased." "
- God's favorite son is Jesus. This relates to the old testament because Jacob was his parents and God's favorite between him and Esau. God allowed Isaac to bless Jacob even though the blessing was supposed to be for their firstborn son Esau. Esau had nothing and he had to serve his younger brother Jacob.

Genesis 28:15
"Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
- This scripture is talking about how God will always be with us no and he will not leave us. When I was upset a few weeks ago, I remember reading this scripture and I was really happy I did because it reminded me that even though I may have made a huge mistake in my life, God will not leave me alone. -
