We all met for departure. It was 2am noone was really in the mood for pictures.

After a long day of travel we arrived in San Jose. It was rainy and everything closed at 7pm.

Wonderful Jungle Adventure

We toured San Jose and the INBioparque. Then we hit the road for the first of many scary bus rides.

Along the way we stopped to see the crater. We had to wait for the fog to clear, but when it did the view was worth the wait.

We were able to hike to the bottom of the waterfall and swim in the river. The water was cold, but the scenery was amazing.

Everyone had a great time kayaking and swimming in the lake. We could hear this volcano erupting in the background.

What a way to relax after a LONG day. There were many different hot springs at various temperatures, it was beautiful.

We were able to see the volcano erupt - what a cool experience. It's hard to imagine being so close to something so powerful.

Bored on the BusToday was mostly a travel day. The bus rides are always a little scary due to fog, crazy roads and temporary bridges. We were also able to do quite a bit of shopping as well.

CRAZY is all I am going to say! I can't believe we made it out alive, but so glad everyone participated.

We had such a good time watching the children dance and playing soccer with them. We brought them supplies for their school, but they gave us so much more.

It was not a good travel day - many of us were sick. But we did get to the beach.

Finally a relaxing day on a nice beach - it was probably one of the best days of the trip. Everyone had a great time swimming and body surfing.

We stopped at various shops along the way to buy the best Costa Rican made crafts.

On our last night in Costa Rica - we traveled up the mountains over looking San Jose for a cultural night of food and dancing. After watching traditional Costa Rican dances the students danced their style.

After a crazy morning of trying to get to the airport we finally arrived home. Everyone was excited for their own bed and real food.
