  • Jamestown

    Jamestown
This is where it all started isn't. Where we landed on America and settled there. The beginning of the United States, the seed of this country. Anyway, Jamestown was named after the king in Britain. We all know the stroy of the Indians saving us, teaching us how to grow vegetables with fish on top. In the end we had a feast.(Thanksgiving) Then the country grew on to the place we're at now, America. We should be really greatful, of the Indians but instead we made them slaves.
  • Revolutionary War

  • Period: to

    Revolutionary War

The Revolutionary War, when we got freedom from Britain. Poor equipment, poor clothes, poor food, & poor everything. The only thing that we won by would be our determination. We thought nothing could stand in our way, & almost nothing did. Our territory, we knew the place by the back of our palm. Our own fighting style(which wasn't suicide). Freedom, the only thing that we wanted. We said that we would still be loyal, but we wanted our space. It was Britain's fault that they had a terrible king.
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence, the day we claimed our freedom. Lots of people signed it, knowing the risks, they still signed it. After gaining all 13 original colonies, we made the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence is what the holiday 4th of July is about, gaining our independence. Britain was being mean to us, (taxes and all that stuff) so we quit. We did make the Olive Tree Branch to give one last warning, but they refused.
  • Civil War

    Civil War
Just a picture, look at the timespan.
  • Period: to

    Civil War

The war that we gained our freedom from. How the United States has no slaves. All because of this war. The union(north) was against slavery. The confederate(south) was for slavery. The north made some deals that were reasonable, but the south didn't want it. The conflict became so great that it soon became a war. (up on the top) Eventually when they were all done duking it out, the north won. Slavery was no more, but there would still be discrimination. There would be slavery all over the place.
  • Alaska

    Alaska
Alaska, otherwise known as Seward's Icebox. For that was the person who bought this land. 49 didn't sound right, an odd number of states. 50 changed the whole process. People laughed at Steward though. He would be made fun of until 1872. Gold would be found. People rushed to Alaska, and the Yukon Territory for hopes of gold. It would be the California gold rush but Alaska this time. Purchasing this land for 7.2 million dollars for 2 cents per acre is a good deal.
  • 19th Amendment Ratified

    19th Amendment Ratified
Women gets the right to vote. When people made the Declaration of Independence, they said people got freedom. Otherwise the right to vote. It was made in 1878 but got ratified in 1920. The preamble states that all humans are created equal(even though it said man), but they weren't. Women rebelled trying to vote, and would be today. Without the 19th amendment, women would be like slaves. However the exception would be that they didn't have to work all day.
  • Manhattan Project/Atomic Bomb

    Manhattan Project/Atomic Bomb

The atomic bomb, the most dangerous weapon in the world. Blowing up cities, though it was created by the help of Canada and the United Kingdom. Releasing 2 bombs in Japan mades 100-1000s die, It was top secret but, Soviet Atomic Spies, managed to gather some information. It was made by Oak Ridge, Hanford, Los Alamos, and many more. In total the whole project costed 1,889,604,000. It should have never been made in my opinion. Without this weapon we would all be safe.
  • First Steps On The Moon

    First Steps On The Moon
Where would we be without this important event, not only would we not have gone to mars, but also the discovery of space. Think about how would you think if someone was going to attempt to land on the moon, would you give them support, probably not. Neil Armstrong landed on the moon that day to be the first person in America to, step on the moon. Riding on the Apollo 11, they landed on the moon, So that is why without this event space would just be "space". an empty and hollow place.
  • Osama Bin Laden's Death

    Osama Bin Laden's Death
9/11, not a forgetful day. The terrorist who started it all, The person who we all hate, is now dead. Living in Pakistan, he managed to stay alive. The U.S army went in there killing Osama Bin Laden , but on the 2nd floor there was a change. The U.S. saw Khalid, and immediately killed him. When they got to the top floor they shot him multiple times. After confirming that it was truly Osama they left. They put his body in the water 24 hours before his death. So there will be no more from Osama.
  • Mars Rover

    Mars Rover
The exploration of space again huh. Well now it's Mars not the moon. Mars Rover (mr) landed on the date (up) successfully. Right now the Rover is collecting samples of dirt and other materials from Mars. Seeing if there will be life on Mars will be decided quite soon, I think. All the Space stuff going around, there have lots of failures. Many tries not a lot that worked out. This rover and others, will decide if we'll be able to live on Mars or not. (probably not in my opinion)
