    Robert Fulton invinted the steamboat. Made faster transportation, and imports;exports. Most "good" being produce is cotton so that was transported faster. He goes up river also. Something negative was more demand on slaves, beacausemore cotton is veing produced, coal miners,dock workers, and steamboat workers. But something positive more factories and faster transportation.

    He invented the cotton gin(first modern mechanical cotton gin) in 1793. Cotton gin is a machine that seperates cotton from the seed. A positive would be more cotton-->more factories-->more workers in North-->more production. A negative would be demand on slaves. The population in cities in North increase beacause of this invention.

    He came up with the factory system, a building filled with machines. Building with machines far mass production. The city growth will go up and more jobs. One problem would be un-safe working conditions and more increase demand on slaves to do cotton work.

    He graduated from Harvard and Yale. In 1832 he invented the telegraph and morse code. The telegraph and morse code is communication between greater distances. A positive effect is the military can communicate better, emergencies can be transfered faster and business communtication. A negative would be not every town had one and might not know what's going on.

    John Deere was from New England. He invented the steel plow, he was a blacksmith. The old plows were wooden and broke easily. The steel ploaw made it easier to farm,expand farming areas and cotton. Something negative that happened was an increased tribute to demand on slaves. But more cotton-->more factories;plow factories. 1,000 plow a month was being produced.
