  • WWI starts with assination

    Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife are murdered on a visit to sarajevo. This sparked agressive action from Austria onto Siberia.

  • Austria declares war on Siberia

    Because Austria declared war on Siberia, Siberia's ally Russia setped in and sent troops to Austria.Also Germany eager to fight promised their support of Austria in the fighting.

  • Germany declares war on Russia

    As Russia moved their troops to Austria they also set up stations along the German border, this was enough for Germany to declare war on Russia. Germany's next move was to declare war on France, Russia's ally. This put into place the Schlieffen Plan, that Germany would attack France and then Russia because of Russia's slow speed at moving troops.

  • First Battle of Marne

    The Battle between the German and the French where the French defeated the Germans succesfully pushing back their line and dissuading them from the easy victory that Germany had anticipated. Also with Germany's defeat, the shlieffen plan was ruined and the German's have to regroup to battle Russia

  • Changes to the Eastern Front

    Germany was fighting against Russia on the Western Front and Russia was being demolished, Germany was able to seize ground and take many supplies from Russia upon their retreat. Also Austria's War agains Russia was not fairing quite as well. Austria eventually drove Russia out with German assitance

  • The Gallipoli Campaign

    British, Australian, New Zealand, and French troops all work together to clear a way through the ottoman empire in order to establish a trade route to Russia. However it came out a stale mate and the fighting continued for the rest of the year until the allies gave up and pulled out

  • Germans attack France

    The Germans attacked France outside of verdun, both side suffered massive loses. Neither sides gained much of an advantage because of the large battle.

  • British aid the French

    later during the battle the British join the fight as to help relive the French.

  • Unrestricted Submarine Warfare

    Germany told everyone that their U-Boats would sink any ship around Great Britain neutral or otherwise. In doing so Germany killed some U.S. citizens. This inspired the U.S. into joining the fight.

  • United States Decalares War

    Woodrow Wilson asks Congress if they can declare War on Germany siding with the allys. And the U.S, joins the war.

  • Communist party takes control of Russia

    Vladmir Lenin gained control of Russia and signed a treaty with Germany to stop the fighting, however Russia had to give up a lot of land to Russia.

  • America Joins the Fight

    American soldiers come to aid Britain and France in the fight.

  • Allies fight against Germany

    at the second battle of mare the germans fought against the Americans and with the fresh american soldiers the allies easily broke through the central powers defenses.

  • WWI comes to an end

    The allies and Germany signed an armistice to stop fighting. And the countrie leaders got together to organize the new terms and the peace. the result left many countries feeling bitter.

  • The Treaty of Versaillies

    Eventually the feuding countries came to an agreement that also lead to the Leauge's exectutie council.
