    With the leadership of General Alexei Brusilov, Russia ends up capturing Galicia and the Bukovina after achieving victory over Austria.

  • A 'Decree of Peace' is written

    Vladimir Lenin, a Bolshevik leader, quickly writes a 'Decree of Peace,' calling everyone to end WW1.

  • The Bolshevik Revolution begins

    The communist government that the Bolsheviks establish during this time ends up withdrawing the Russians from the war.

  • The Treaty of Brest-Litovsk is signed

    The Bolsheviks are forced to sign the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, a treaty created by Imperial Germany.
