The hier to the Austro Hungary thrown Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assainated in Bosina by Gavrilo Princip a member of the Serbian nationalist group. Princip tryed to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand earlier but couldn't so he bought a sandwhich. The Archduke Franz Ferdinands driver took the wrong turn and Princip saw his opportunity and shot the Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie. -
Germany and Austro Hungary.
Germany pledges there support for there ally Austro Hungary. If war is declared between Austro Hungary and Serbia German will protect and help Austro Hungary with the war. -
The ultimatum.
Austro Hungary presents 10 demands for Serbia to do in anger from the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Serbia accepts 9 but refusses to let Austro Hungarian police in Serbia. -
The break out
Austro Hungary declares war on Serbia by firing canons. This means Germany the ally of Austro Hungary will fight and Russia will help Serbia in the war. -
Russia prepares for battle
Russia prepares there army for war and support to there ally Serbia. Russia send many soldiers to war and many of them won't come back. -
War errupting
Germany declares war on Russia to supprt there ally Austro Hungary this means both of the countries allies will join to support one another. -
Belgium
Germany declares war on France and decides to move there troops to France first because it would take weeks for Russia to mobolise there army. Germany believed it would take Russia 3 weeks to mobolise there army but it took 3 days. Germany decides because Russia will take longer to mobolise there troops they will invade France first but on the way decide to invade Belgium on there way to France. -
Britains involment.
The British is Belgiums ally causing Britain to protect Belgium so Britain declares war on Germany meaning Britains allies will fight along side them, including Australia aka The ANZACS, AUSTRALIAN NEW ZEALAND ARMY CORE, New Zealand and Canada enter for support to Britain. -
War declared on everyone
Austro Hungary declares war on Russia. Serbia declares war on Germany meaning many countries will go to war and soldiers will fight in honour of there country. -
