    The Heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne was assassinated by a Serbian. This event is said to have led to World War 1. Many people in Austria-Hungary blamed the Serbian government. Serbia was supported by Russia, and Austria-Hungary was supported by Germany.

    A German u-boat used a torpedo to sink a passenger ship going to Liverpool England. 120 American citizens were killed in this attack. Even though the U.S.A does not enter the war until 1917, this is one of the biggest reasons the U.S. decides to enter the war.

    The U-boats were submarines that had weapons on them. Germany said that they would sink any ship that was on war zone water. The U-boat was the best submarine built at the time. They usually carried 35 people, and they were about 214ft long. German would sink merchant boats and passenger ships.

    This was a peace treaty between Russia and the central powers. There was a revolution that broke out in Russia. Russia gave up some of its land to Austria-Hungary and Germany. They treaty was a huge embarrassment to Russia

    This was the official end to World War 1. The treaty of Versailles was signed. German lost the territory it gained in the treaty of Brest-Litovsk. This was the end at the Great war. Nine million people were killed.
