    Germany leaves the league of Nations

    Hitler does so by using the Treaty of Versailles as the purpose. The Treaty of Versailles has no connection to the League of Nations. Many politicians from other countries feel guilty for the treaty, so none of them responded against this
  • Hitler's First "Saturday Surprise"

    Hitler Announced that he was going to form an air force, create a draft, and overall fortify the German Nation. He announces that this is purely for the protection of Germany, and the peace of Europe. Most other countries found this cause suitable for braking the Treaty of Versailles, and some feel guilty for the heavy restrictions made by the treaty.

    Hitler commanded German soldiers and airplanes into the Rhineland, a step many of his advisors thought was too large. Under the Treaty of Versailles, the Rhineland was to be a military-free German territory, and this was a clear, open action gloing against that. Amazingly, no other country intervened or fought back. This caused a surge of political popularity for Hitler, and even some anti-Nazis found this to be a great move.

    Hitler controls the Sudetenland

    The Sudetenland was a section of western Czechoslovakia with around three million German-speakers, who were paid to yearn for Hitler's control. After many meetings and arguements, and Hitler showing his unflagging ambition to take charge of this territory, it was agreed by The Italian, French, British, and German leaders that, to avoid war, Hitler would be allowed to take the Sudetenland without resistance. Stalin could not help its ally, because its forces could not reach the country.

    Hitler takes control of Austria
    There had been a storm of political threats and insults before this, but on this date, the troops entered, and assumed full power over the citizens. Unfortunately, not a single country fought against this take-over. Winston Churchhill expressed his concern that Germany would move on to consume all that surrounds it, but these remarks were ignored. Image is of Austrian children saluting Hitler.     Hitler consumes all of Czechoslovakia

    After declaring that Sudetenland would be his last Territorial demand, and agreeing by pact to this statement, Hitler continued his sweep of control over Europe. This, therefore, broke the pact, although not a single politician spoke out during this process. There was speculation that Poland would be his next target, so Britain, France, and America promised to support the nation if Hitler continued as expected.

    Hitler defeats and controls Poland

    After framing Poles for an attack on a concentration camp, the German troops entered on the first of september, and in only 18 days, had full control of the entire country. Three days after the first soldiers entered, Great Britain and France declared war on Germany, although they could not act quickly enough to prevent the loss of Poland. Germany was fairly clear in its intent- reduce the Poles and their land to rubble.

    Jews forced to wear a yellow star

    As an effort to further control the population of Jewish people, and to allow for easier ridicule of the jews, every one of them was forced to wear a yellow Star of David on their clothes always. Also, Jews were only allowed on the streets between 5:00 AM and 9:00 PM. If a person did not folow these two orders, then they were subject to 10 years in prison.

    Hitler claims Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France

    After assuming control of nearly all of Europe, Hitler had one country combating against him: Great Britain. There, many gathered from the fallen nations, ready to take aim at Hitler. Winston Churchill became Prime Minister during this time, and declared his upmost hatred for the Nazi regime, and his his strong yearn to free the conquered countries.

    Heinrich Himmler finishes his plan to deprive Poles of education

    After six months of eliminating and arresting nearly all of the highly educated people in Poland, Himmler planned the education of all Polish children under Germany's control. They were not to be taught to read, write anything other than their name, count past 500, or to do anything more than simple arithmetic. Also, kids were prohibited to go to school any longer than fourth grade. The primary goal was to teach kids to obey all German orders.

    Dutch strike against Jewish deportation
    In an effort to show their great hatred for the regime, and their concern for the Jews, large numbers of Dutch ctizens stopped their work for three days. The specific reason was that four hundred Jews were about to be deported. After squashing the strike on the third day, the Nazis struck back by sending the Jews to be murdered, and deporting the masses away.   • Hitler orders the invasion of the USSR

    In order to destroy the "Jewish-Bolshevik menace" and assure the triumph of the Aryan race, Hitler began to take on one of his largest enemies, Russia. In order to do so, vast numbers of German soldiers serving under four SS divisions were spread to varying locations. All of the divisions had the same command- eliminate any threat to the regime.

    Germany begins to replan and withdraw from Russia

    After find the USSR a strong enemy, and having their blows deflected by the russian army, Germany began to feel wary of how much military power they have. The Nazis had wrongly expected and counted on the Russian citizens to go against their leaders, but instead, the people were holding their borders strong. Needing a new plan, the Germans retreated, expecting to strike again, with success.

    the US declares war against Japan
    A day after the surprise attack and destroying of Pearl Harbor, the US officially decalared war against Japan, a strong ally of Germany. So, Japan's leaders asked Hitler for help against the US, which he had some doubts about doing, as Japan had provoked America. The Fuehrer did not deny this request.     After Japan has asked for Germany's strength fighting America, Hitler made it official. In this action, he allowed himself to now be attacked by three powerful nation.
