When he arrived a terrorist got his grenade under his car it didn’t hurt anyone. latter the archduke went to go visit his injured attendants in the hospital. The driver made a wrong turn and a different terrorist stepped forward and shot the archduke in the neck and his pregnant wife in the stomach.

    Zeppelins are rigid airships created by the German Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin in the early twentieth century. Germans started attacking London with zeppelins. They were also used for naval reconnaissance. Smaller zeppelins were used for reconnaissance along the western front. The German stopped using zeppelins after the introduction of aero planes shot them down.

But Russia had an advantage the Carpathian Mountains, deep in Austrian territory. The Austro German counter attacked drove the Russians back.

    How they fautbattle infoThe battle of Verdun was a costly battle for both sides both sides lost over 400,000 troops. Throwout the entire battle no advantage was gained by either side. The key of the battle was for the French to hold Verdun because if they lost this ground the Germans would have a much easier time getting to Paris. The French lost the three surrounding forts but never lost Verdun itself. When the air force came in they quickly retook the whole area.

In January 1917 Germany declared that they would resume unrestricted submarine warfare; causing the U.S. to be intact with conflict. Wilson decided to enter the war to help design the peace settlement. At the beginning of the war U.S. on had 107,641 soldiers. Within a year, they managed to raise an army of 5 million soldiers

Germany’s lost 12.5 percent of it’s territory causing them to lose 6.5 million people in population.
