Germans come to town
In the spring of 1944 the Germans came to town and invaded Sighet. They were nice to everyone at first -
The Ghettos
There were two ghettos in sighet that were formed in Sighet. There was barbed wire and blacked out windows. The ghettos were eventually liquidated and they had to be moved to other ones. Some people went directly to concentratin camps -
Elie is moved to the concentration camps
They moved from concentration camp to concentration camp and they had delirious people in the cars with them -
Executions
Eventually they started to hang people for this misdoings -
Auschwitz
They finally arrive in Auschwitz and he sees his mother and little sister for the last time ever. They start to realize the harsh conditions in the camps. -
Hard work
They start to get beaten and realize what the camps are really like. They don't do much and then they eventually get transfered to Buna -
Buna
They get assigned jobs and Elie is still with his father. Elie had to give up his crown or risk getting beaten by others. Camps were really hard for his father and him -
Losing faith
Around Rosh Hashana Elie starts to lose faith and he stops praying. During Yom Kippur he doesn't fast like he's suppose to and he loses faith -
SS Surprise
The SS officers pick through the group of people to see who should be executed and who should not. Elie and his father are not sent to the crematoria -
Russians are coming
In the winter the men are all moved to another camp, because the Russians take over Buna -
Elie Wiesel's dad dies in Buchenwald

They tried to move prisoners out of the camp so they could liquidate it. On the 10th the Americans finally came -

Running away from the Russians
They had to march away from their camp and eventually they had to start running. If they fell behind then they were shot. They didn't stop for a long time until they reached an abandoned village. Many people died in the snow before they had to leave for the next place -
Gleiwitz
They arrived to a new camp and many were trampled. They were not loud food or water. After three days they were thrown on a train of many wagons. After a certain amount of time they threw out the dead people and kept going. -
Buchenwald
They arrived at new camps and Elie and his father were separated. they finally got to sleep but Elie's father became very sick. Elie grudgingly gave him some of his rations. On January 28, 1945 his dad had died -
