There were two ghettos in sighet that were formed in Sighet. There was barbed wire and blacked out windows. The ghettos were eventually liquidated and they had to be moved to other ones. Some people went directly to concentratin camps

They had to march away from their camp and eventually they had to start running. If they fell behind then they were shot. They didn't stop for a long time until they reached an abandoned village. Many people died in the snow before they had to leave for the next place

They arrived to a new camp and many were trampled. They were not loud food or water. After three days they were thrown on a train of many wagons. After a certain amount of time they threw out the dead people and kept going.

They arrived at new camps and Elie and his father were separated. they finally got to sleep but Elie's father became very sick. Elie grudgingly gave him some of his rations. On January 28, 1945 his dad had died
