This treaty was created as a promise to help Italy if it was attacked and vise versa. Everyone in the treaty was to aid the others ib case of attack. The parties in this agreement promise peace toward each other.

France has an alliance with russia which requires them to help Russia in battles. Once again, Alliances require Germany to declare war aganist countries that threatend Serbia. France must side with Russia because of their own agreements.

Germany invades Belgium to escape fighting from both Frabce and Russia. Belgium at the time was a neutral country. Britain wants to make sure that Germany is not going to overtake Belgium. Britain offers its aid and enters the was against Germany.

Turkey helps Germany during the war by bombing Russia. This attack on Russia requires Great Britian and France to declare war on Turkey because of their alliance with Russia

Germany has caused damage with submarines. They now are fighting from the air and provingto their enemy the superior fighting capabilities they had available. Germany can fight from the sea and air.

This was a 5,000 pound passenger cargo ship. The German submarine surfaced and stopped the ship firing a torpedo that resulted in 100 deaths. Once again inncent citizens are brought into a war between countries.

This is a third battle over Warsaw. Germany's victory pushes Russians back. The Russian commander made the difficult decision to pull back and Germany made the easy capture.

Britain attacked Germany. This attack was supposed to out number the Germans. It failed, the Germans were able to defend their position against both Britain and France. The British used poisonous gas for the first time during this battle.

British naval force confronts German ships. They both open fire beginning the biggest naval battle of war. This battle left Germany fearful to confront the superior British naval fleet for more than a year. Germany retreats from the battle.

The British launch a major offensive attack against Germany by using tanks for the very first time. Forty go over enemy lines but they are slow and breakdown. Despite the tanks at Somme this is the biggest day of casualties in British military history.

The US enters the war because of attacks on unarmed passenger and merchant ships by Germany. Serveral Americans had been killed on these ships and public opinion had turned against Germany. The US Senate voted 82 to 6 and the House of Representatives voted 373 to 50 declare war on Germany for their actions.

This is the second battle of Somme. Tby Germanhe first major attack Germany in more than a year. After five hours of bombing the unprepared British army was forced to retreat and Germany began to push forward toward France.

This is the battle of Amiens. This battle used all weapons to attack including tanks, artillery, infantry and aircraft. This was the most important battle against the Germans and caused them to lose momentum.

The post war treaty required that Germany surrender their naval fleet. All German U-boats and war ships were handed over to Allies. All the German boats were required to disarm to prevent further problems for the Allies.
