The triple entente was signed in 1907, and was basically a tie and an egreement between Russia, France, and Great Britain. This made a bond between the countries and tied them together.

The Triple Alliance was a tie between Austri-Hungary, Germany, and Italy. This stated that they would be together and allied during times of war, and lasted from 1882 to 1914, or the beginning of World War 1.

At the beginning only a couple of countries were admitted. They were Austria - hungary, Germany, Russia, France, and Great Britain. This war included many alliances and many great nations participated in it. It eventually led up to World War 2. This war had two sides there were thge allies and then there were the central powers. -
On June 28, 1914, the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assasinated, triggering a conflict between Serbia and Austria-Hungary. This was just an excuse to war, and the death itself was not mourned at all.

A german submarine sank the British passenger ship called the Lusitania, which caused many US casualties, and forced us to eventually join the war and choose sides.

The Unted States suddenly decides to enter the war, because of Germanys attempt to try to get Mexico to allie with them. That would be bad because then they would be near the boundries of the US and it would make it easier for any future attacks.
