The heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary was killed, shot, by a Serbian man. Servia thought they should control Bosnia, not them.
So Austria declared war to Serbia.
Russia had an alliance with Serbia so he got involved.
Germany declared to Russia because it had an alliance with Austria.
Britain declared war to Germany, they had alliance with Russia. -

It is known as the Great war because it affected people all over the world. It was between the triple alliance (Germany, Austriahungary, and their allies.) . And the Triple Entente (Great Britian, France and Russia)

It gave the government much more power. Lots of new jobs were invented, and some womens got the chance to work fornthe first time.

In this battle there were many deaths and injuries, this also finished the plan.

Britain traied to stop germany from recieven suplies by the sea. They reacted using submarines to attack the ships that where traveling in there.

It ended the first war world. This became known as Armistice Day - the day Germany signed an armistice (an agreement for peace) which caused the fighting to stop. People in Britain, France and the countries that supported them celebrated.
