    1405-1433 Led 7 voyages. To show China's power he would sail with a fleet as many as 300 ships. Zheng He's voyages showed the Ming Dynasty's sea power.

    Stopped at several African ports and learned that Muslim merchants were already active in trade. Journey took more than 10 months. We Da Gama landed in India it caused great excitement to the Portuguese who sent a second expidition almsot right after Da Gama returned.

    Pizarro heard of the Inca's wealth and wanted it for himself. Smallpox had come through the Incan Empire and killed many people including the Emporer. After Pizarro took control of the Empire and killed its new leader, he aquired a large amount of land and money for Spain.

    Napoleon defeated at Waterloo
    British troops lead by Duke of Wellington confronted Napoleon's army at Waterloo. After heavy fighting Napoleon fled to a port and tried to escape to America but was caputured and sent to Saint Helena. The defeat ended his massive campaign.
  • Tokugawa Shogunate ends

    Tokugawa Shogunate ends
    Agricultural production lagged. Despite efforts at "fiscal reform" opposition weakend the Tokugawa. Two powerful anti-Tokugawa clans, the Choshu and Satsuma, combined forces to topple the shogunate, and the following year declared an “imperial restoration”.
