Words of the week of January 4th

  • Exploit

To make use of for ones own advantage or profit.
  • Chagrin

Feeling of embarrassment and annoyance because one failed or disappointed. My friend felt chagrin after tripping down the steps at school.
  • Obscure

Not well-known; not famous. I remember when Becky G was obscure and wrote her first song.
  • Interlocutor

A person taking part in a conversation or dialogue. The principle was an interlocutor in the conversation about the fight that happened at lunch.
  • Incontrovertible

Not able to be doubted or questioned. The police are incontrovertible, so if you are speeding, you are speeding.
