    Charlemagne was a leader who had strong religious beliefs. He used this to join church and state in his leadership. He used the pope to do some of his work in the state as well. He was a leader who also liked to give back to his community.

    Groups of people including the Vikings, invaded Europe with different motives. Some motives are believed to be wealth and the curiosity of where the wealth came from that was so abundant.

    The Crusades were groups of invasions in Europe. They were typically religiously motivated. Two of which included Islam taking back their Holy Land.

    The Mongols

    the Mongols were groups from Central Asia. The Mongols had an extremely strict army which led the way for modern day Russia. They invaded as well as devastated their lands when they conquered.

    The Plague

    The Bubonic Plague also known as the Black Death killed a large percentage of the population. It was spread so easily because of a lack of nourishment from drought and from a lack of knowledge in medicine. It killed people for generations.

    From the year 600 to the year 1300 the population of Europe grew 60 million people. This sparked an agricultural revolution. Families were expanding and cities were growing larger as well.

    This war was more of a series of battles. It was between the English and the French and was a battle over their dynasties and lineages intertwining.

    This was a time period when the Catholic Church was divided over different Popes that wanted to be leaders within the church.

    Because of so many deaths, peasants were needed for labor and were actually paid well to keep them around. Women also benefited because they were given rights such as the right to own land.
