  • The Anschluss

    The Anschluss
    Hitler announces an Anschluss or Union between Germany and Austria. This was forbidden by the Treaty of Versailles, so Hitler found a way around it by being an agressor and forcing Schuschnigg, the Austrian leader, to give Nazi's more power. Schuschnigg resigned giving power to Hitler and the Nazi's. They made Jews scrub the streets on thier knee's and made Schuschnigg clean public toilets. This shows that Hitler wanted people to suffer,
  • The Munich Conference

    The Munich Conference
    In the Munich, Hitler met with represenatives from Great Britian, France, and Italy. They came to an agreement that Hitler could annex the Sudetenland in western Czechoslovakia. Great Britian and France alerted Czechoslovakia that they could fight alone against the Germans or give up into the annexation. Giving up they allowed Hitler to increase his military and take over the rest of thie lands that Hitler said he wouldn't bother. This shows how much Hitler wanted to increase his power.
  • The Nazi Soviet Pact

    The Nazi Soviet Pact
    The Soviet Union and Grermany came to an agreement and signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Aggression Pact. They agreed to not attack each other. Hitler showed that he needed protection and gained it from this agreement. The Soviet Union recieved parts of Poland. This also showed that Hitler wasn't honorable when he attact the Soviet Union two years later.
  • Danzig and the Polish Corridor

    Danzig and the Polish Corridor
    Hitler wanted more land and decided an annexation of Danzig and the Polish Corridor. Because of violations with the Munich agreement, Britian and France couldn't trust Hitler, so they helped Poland after Hilter invaded it. The poles gave up and Hitler, with greed took more land.
  • The War Begins

    The War Begins
    Two days after Germany invaded Poland, Great Britian and France declared war on Nazi Germany. Germany used the blitzkrieg tactic or suprise and speed. Poland was defenseless and Germany focused more on the citizens. Hitler's desire was to start a war and to kill many in doing so. He believed that his opinions or ideas were greater than others, causing a second world war.
