Alcalde Andrew Ponton refused to give up the cannon to Mexican patrol. Lieutenant Francisco Castaneda led 100 men to gonzales to take the cannon. Two of Moore's men fired the cannon at the Mexicans, so the Mexican soldiers retreated.

They gathered up for a meeting to decide If they would make peace with Mexico or go into war with them.

The Texans surprised attacked the Mexican army at 3 a.m in the morning. The Mexican army was to weak to survive the attack, so the Texans won that battle.

Santa Anna and his Mexian army began the 13 day siege as they attacked the Texans at the Alamo.

Richar Ellias and fifty-four delegates attended the meeting. The delegates wrote and adopted the Texas Decleration of Independence.

The decleration was adopted at the Convention of 1836.

The Texans were defeated in the 13th day ot the siege by Santa Anna and his army. It only took 90 minutes for the Mexicans to defeat the Texans and bring down the Alamo.

The Texans retreated further and further so it would give them more time to train there army. They also made it harder for the Mexicans to get supplies and food.

James Fannin and his men were attacked by Urrea and 900 men. Fannin surrender and were captured.

Fannin and his men were executed by Urrea at Goliad.

Sam Houston and his army attacked the Mexicans as they were resting. The Texans wanted nothing else but victory and to gain independence and thats what they got. They captured Santa Anna he singed the treaty to give Texas Independence from Mexico.
