Execution of Brother
Vladimir's brother , Alexander Ulyanov became involved in the St. Petersburg Student Terrorist group which plotted an assination attempt against Alexander III. The attempt failed and his brother was arrested and went on trial, to when he was sentenced to be exectued. When the news reached Lenin, he was furious. This event was one of the major causes of Lenin's political opinion which shaped his career throughout his career. (Simkin) -
Sentenced to Exile in Siberia
After being arrested for participating in revolutionary activities, Lenin is sentenced to exile for three years in Siberia. During his sentence, he met his wife and also wrote "The Development of Capitalisim in Russia" and "The tasks of Russian Social Democrats". (Simkin) -

The x-ray has greatly improved the medical world in many ways. Many injuries and diaseases could be easily accesed and they made surguries and diagnoses more simple. -
First publication of Iskara
Vladimir's first issue of "Iskara" is published. The document urges readers to join the RSDWP (Russian Social Democratic Labour Party) which revolts against autocratic government and capitalist government. This one of many publications of Lenin for a push for a more comunist government. -
Construction of Panama Canal Begins
In 1904, ground is broken for where the Panama Canal is today. The major construction project allows an ease of travel and trade for the whole world.The canal also saves an extraordinary amount of time from what the trip around South America used to be. (Howell) -
Bloody Sunday
200,000 russian men, women, and children march through the streets towards the Tsar's winter palace to ask for minimum wage and an 8 hour work schedule. Grand Duke Vladimir ordered troops to open fire upon the crowd which was quickly approaching. Lenin beleived it was the start of a revolution but it was not, Although, it did change the atmosphere of revolution and changed how Lenin had to live his life after fleeing the area. (Naden;Rose) -

The ship began its journey from england and everything went wrong when halfway through the trip, the vessel struck an iceberg causing it to go down. Many men, women and childeren were killed during this terrifying mishap. -
World War One Begins
After many reoccuring incedents between the Russians and Germans, Germany declares war on Russia, sparking world war one. John Simkin states that Lenin was "apalled by the decision of most socialists in Europe to support the war effort". He also states that he spent most of his effort "turning the imperialist war into a civil war". -
The July Days
The July days were a series of protests and demonstrations by working class Russians. The acts of revolution were against the Russian Provisional Government and in the end, weakened the Bolshivek party. (Gilbert) -
Assasination Attempt on Lenin
On August 30th1918, Dora Kaplan who was apart of the Scocialist Revolutionaries, shot Lenin twice for "being a traitor to the revolution". Ever since that day, Lenin's health was never the same. (Simkin) -
Death
Lenin was diagnosed with sclerosis and from then, he knew his days were numbered. The diasease quickly spread throughout his body and over time caused him to lose mobility and his speach. He died from a heart attack on January 21st 1924. His body is on display in Moscow. (Gilbert)
