    Vladimir's brother , Alexander Ulyanov became involved in the St. Petersburg Student Terrorist group which plotted an assination attempt against Alexander III. The attempt failed and his brother was arrested and went on trial, to when he was sentenced to be exectued. When the news reached Lenin, he was furious. Grand Duke Vladimir ordered troops to open fire upon the crowd which was quickly approaching.     Lenin was diagnosed with sclerosis and from then, he knew his days were numbered. The diasease quickly spread throughout his body and over time caused him to lose mobility and his speach. He died from a heart attack on January 21st 1924. His body is on display in Moscow. (Gilbert)
