In the early dawn of october 2 ,the texans attack the mexicans in this battle.The texans paint a black cannon barrel on a white flag and the words" COME AND TAKE IT!" And then our fellow texans won the Battle of Gonzales!:)

The Consultation reconvened november 4 in San Felipe to form a new government.They didn't decide whether to declare independence from mexico,or pledge to uphold the repudiated mexican constitution of 1824.They have Sam Houston as commander in chief for the texans.

Under Ben Milam,texans launch an assault on San Antonio.Santa Anna recieves declaration fron mexican congress.And is saying that all foreigners taken in arms against the government ,that they should be treated as pirates and shot.

Santa Anna enters San Antonio which means WAR!:) The Alamo comes under artillery fire from mexican troops.But unfortunately, the mexicans win this battle.:(

The convention of 1836,elected delegates convenes at Washington on the Brazos.They followed the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence,which was written by George Childress .Delegates thought and developed theTexas Constitution.

The texas declaration of independence is signed and the republic of texas is declared .David G. Burnett is elected interim president by the delegates.Some of the delegates were even in some of the battles.

The texans were full of terror and panic among the settlements of texas.Colonists gathered few possessions ,abandoning their homes,and heading eastward under most difficult conditions.Some got sick and died, and some lived.

General urrea defeats colonel james fannin near goliad/coleto creek.Fannin surrenders/dies.A few escaped the battle but most were killed.:(
