    The Revolutionary War was a war between Great Britan and the 13 colonies of North America. It all started with little armed fights in 1775 and by the next summer we were at war. France stepped in and help the colonists until Britin surrendered in 1779. However the fighting never formally stopped till 1783. This was important to American History because we finallly became free from britains law.

    Congress Adopts the Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence is a document declaired our indepenence from Britain. It was mainly written by Thomas Jefferson. A draft for the constitution was made and read aloud in congress on June 28th. Then it was adopted by Congress on July 4, 1776. This is important becuase it helped us become free from Britain

    The Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. It separates the power of thegovernment into three braches. It also states the relationships between states and the power of U.S. citizens. This is impotant because it was one of our first successful forms of government.

    Eli Whitney Invents the Cotton Gin
    The cotton gin majorly effected the cotton industry. Before the cotton gin wass created removig the seeds from cotton required hours of slave work. However the cotton gin was an easier way to remove seeds. As a result the demand for slaves decreased. He created the gin because demand for cotton was going up and they needed a more efficient way to remove seeds embedded in the cotton. This was importnt to the U.S becuase it made harvesting cotton, which was our number one export, easier.

    California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush started on Janruary 24 when James Marshal discovered gold in California. Word quickly spread and more people started moving west in serch for gold. Around 300,000 people from all over traveled to California from all over. They were all in search for a beter life. This eent is imprtant to U.S. history because, it cause more westward expansion, and caused the country to grow.

    Titanic Sinking
    The titanic was a boat that was thought to be unsinkable. It was on a voyage from Southhampton to New York City. Four days into it voyage the ship hit and iceburg and sunk into the cold water. The ship went down on April 14, 1912 and an drowned many ofit's passengers. This was important to American History because many people died as a cause of the boat sinking.

    Women get the Right to Vote
    On June 4, 1919 the 19th ammendment was passed by congress allowing women the right to vote. Women had been protesting for decades before finally recieving the right to vote. Few of the protesters from early on didn't even live to see the victory in 1920. This is important to American history becuase women finally got som of the same privliges as men.

    I was born on Aril 16, 2000 at the Lancaster General Hospitol. I was the third child born into my family. My mother was so excited to finally have agirl in the family, because at the time I only had 2 brothers. Later on, when I was eight we adopted my little sister so I was not the only girl in my family.

    Twin Towers Collapsed
    On September 11, 2001 Two planes crashed into the Twin tower in Manhattan, New York. The terrorist attack was lead by al-qaeda. The planes crashed into the towers causin them to collapse. There now stands two beautifule fountain pools where the towers were to honor them and all who died in this horrible occasion. The twim tower is important to the U.S. becuase it was one of the few time that we had a terrorist sttack and it greatly effected our country.
