1924- Saint Ignatius College became two different institutions, Saint Ignatius High School and John Carrol University.
1926- The eye was first published
1928- The great depression hit and enrollment went way down. The sports teams were less then victorious.
1937- Jack Hearns created the Alma Mater and it was performed for the first time ever.
1940's Most of the seniors entered the military after a month of graduating. Football grew in popularity because of the Charity game. Hockey made its varisty debut and boxing became a big intramural sport.
1950's Sports became state powerhouses
1970's The Christian Action Movement started. Females were allowed to be part of the faculty. The Science building was built and the Student Council started.
1980's The construction started for a new library, Wasmer feild, and a aministrative wing.

1990's to 2011Rade dining hall, Murphy feild house, Sullivan gym, Breen center, and the mall were all built.
