In 6th grade, I wrote a story that eventually won the Director's Writing Contest in Hamblen County. I believe this is when my love for writing truly began.

On this day, my peers voted that I would become Editor-in-chief of the West Side Story (school newspaper) the following year. For 2010, I learned under the current editor, John Nash, to be successful and prepared for the next year.

My senior year I was voted to be on the Homecoming Court to be a candidate for Morristown West Homecoming Queen. What a fun and flattering experience!
