Born in Wilson, North Carolina into a loving home. I was the last addition to our family of four. My sister (a preschooler at the time) took me in for show and tell! -

High School Graduation
I graduated from Ledford High school as the Salutatorian. I decided to head to Western Carolina University to participate in the Teaching Fellows Program. -
Trip Abroad to England, Ireland, and Wales
The summer after my freshmen year of college I had the opportunity to travel to England, Ireland, and Wales with the Teaching Fellows Program. Some of the memorable parts of the trip include kissing the Blarney Stone, seeing a show on the West End, and driving through the Ring of Kerry! -
Trip to Oulu, Finland
In January of 2015, I got to visit Oulu International School in Oulu, Finland. During this time I got to work alongside a Finnish teacher. Some of the other significant parts of the trip included, hiking to see the Northern Lights, riding snow mobiles in the Arctic Circle, eating a reindeer burger, cross country skiing, using the sauna, and cooking traditional Finnish dishes with the Finnish teachers. -
College Graduation
in May of 2015, I graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Elementary Education! -
Got My First Teaching Job!
In June of 2015, I got my first teaching job at Bethel Elementary School. This was the same school that I student taught at and I was so excited to work in the room next door to my cooperating teacher! -
Wedding
On July 22nd, I will marry my best friend!
