Assasination of Archduke Ferdinand
On June 28 the Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated and also Sophia , his wife. They were on the way to see the capital of Sarajevo when they were shot till their death. The reason why they were shot is because his movement to annex Serbia angered the nationalists. So they came up with a plan to kill the Ferdinand. Austrian government's reaction to assasination
After the killer was caught and later hung for his action the Austrians government reaction was to return the fight. They sent a letter to the serbians saying they will return their actions with violence. Two days after his death they sent military to Austria-Hungary to capture any alliances that had any part to do with the assassination.
