Battle of Gonzales- First military engagement into the Texas Revolution, On October 2, 1835, fighting began over land and cultural differences between the Texas settlers and the Mexican army. This battle started the series of stages to establishing the Republicans of Texas in 1836. Texas successfully fought for its independence, bearing the "Come and Take It" flag.

Feb 23, 1836 – Mar 6, 1836,- Pivoral event into the Texas Revolution, conflicts led to battle between Texas Revolutionary forces and the Mexican Army over independence from Mexican rule, led by General Santa Anna. The Mexican Army defeats the Texans.

This battle began in La Porte (Deer Park, Texas NOW) on April 21, 1836, and was the final part of the Texas Revolution, Led by Sam Houston Texan forces defeated the Mexican Army which led to Texas gaining its independence.

On December 29, 1845, Texas is admitted to The Union, becoming the 28th state to join the U.S., following the annexation of Texas.

Apr 25, 1846 – Feb 2, 1848,- Conflicts over territory between the U.S. and Mexico led to war, after the Annexation of Texas. In the end, this war led to the signing of the Treaty Of Guadalupe, giving the U.S. majority of the land (Texas, California).
