    Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg and Archduke Franz Ferdinand were both shot down in Sarajevo by Gravilo Princip. The assasination was luck when the car made a wrong turn and ended up right infront of Gravilo.

    Clash between the Great Powers
    Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. Russia declares war on Austria-Hungary. Germany takes action and declares war on Russia, Serbia and Belgium. Belgium not picking sides was neutral. Germany also declares war on France. Great britain declares war on Germany. Italy switches sides and Joins Russa, Serbia, Great Britain, France and Japan. Germany gets an alliance with the ottomons.

    Germany thought that France was the the most dangerous opponent. Thus they decided to defeat them. They said it would only take them 6 weeks. Germany didn't want to go straight to France because they knew that there were troops there. Germany looped around Going into Belgium. Belgium had to fight back but no one liked how Germany attacked a neutral country. The schleffen Plan got Germany more enemies. Italy a former ally switched sides.
