  • Dual Alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary

    Dual Alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary
    Fromed by Bismarck, this is importent because it made other countries stronger during the War with more backup. This also caused the different conuntries to creat different war agianst different countries.
  • The Triple Alliance

    The Triple Alliance
    Italy joined in during the Dual Alliance becoming the Triple Alliance, with more in the alliance different war started between the three countries againt other countries. This caused mutiple war go on at the same time.
  • Rise of Kaiser Wilhelm II and resignation of Bismarck, lapse of treaty with Russia.

    Rise of Kaiser Wilhelm II and resignation of Bismarck, lapse of treaty with Russia.
    Kaiser Wihelm II forced Bismarck to resign. Wihelm II did not want to share his power with anyone, also he wanted to show the world how strong Germeny has become. The army was his biggest pride, this caused the Germen army to be much stronger and also making Wihelm II gaining more power and allowed him to assert his power when he gained more and felt he need to show his power.
  • Conflicts between Germany and France over Morocco

    In 1905 and agian in 1911, Germany and France nearly fought over who would control Maraco in Nourthern Africa. Most of the Europeans supported France, so Germany backed down. This relates to imperelism because contries are fighting over controle of a contry and wanting to turn that country into its own, making it westernized and/or monderized.
  • Alliance of Russia and France

    Alliance of Russia and France
    Great Britain put together the new Alliance of Russia and France. This alliance did not bind that Britain would fright against France and Russia, but it almost ceterntly ensures that Britian would not fight against the two country.
  • Creation of the Triple Entente

    Creation of the Triple Entente
    The creation was caused when Great Britian made an alliance with both Frabce and Russia. This allowed less fighting between the three countrieas.
  • Austria annexing Bosnia and Herzegovina

    In 1908 Austria annexed Herzegovina and Bosnia, these were large populated by Slavic areas.The Serbia leader was outraged, in the years that followed tension grew between Serbia and Austria. As an effect both countries vowed to take eachother down.

    Alll great powers other then Britain had large standing armies. The armies were a big effected in the imperilism. Countries with larger armies had a better chance in war, allowing them to win different countries they were fighting for.
  • The Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand

    The Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand
    Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated by 19-year-old Gavrilo Princip. The boy shot Ferinand, he thought it would be a kay to unlock shackles keeping his people under the controle of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

  • The first declaration of war and the succession of declarations of war by Austria, Russia, Germany, and Great Britain

    Each country declared a different war of different countries, Great Britian declared the war on Germeny and then Russia declared a war on Germeny, Italy moved from the triple alliance to Trible entene. This caused the large war, called World War I.
