    I know you said nothing personal, only the major events, but you have to at least let me mention the day she was crowned. Without her taking position, none of the next events I will speak of would not have happened the way they did. But yes, the coronation of Victoria was the day she was crowned.

    Military conflict fought in which the Russian Empire lost to an alliance of the Ottoman Empire, France, Britain and Sardinia. Control of access to religious sites in the Holy Land had been a caused tension between Catholic France and Orthodox Russia for quite some time -- the conflict came to be with rioting in Bethlehem.

    Queen Victoria named ruler of India.
  • Married Women's Property Act

    Married women now control property in their own right and are now legal owners of their money.
  • Third Reform Act

    In the United Kingdom set in laws which further extended the suffrage in Britain after the Derby Government's Reform Act. Extends voting rights to agricultural workers.
  • Free Education Act

    The act made provisions for the public financing of primary schools in England and Wales. A grant fee of 10 shillings per year for each attending child between 3 and 15 years of age had to be paid by the Parliament to every public school in England and Wales.
  • End of Reign

    Victoria suffers a hemorrhagic stroke, causing her death, ending her reign.
