    The Battle of Gonzales was the first battle of the revolution, its what started it all. Mexico wanted to take the Texans weapons and they were not giving them up and they put up a flag that said "come and take it".

    Santa Anna wanted to kill the people fighting against them because he saw them as rebels and people who deserved to be killed. Sam Houston told William B. Travis and Jim Bowie to retreat and to join his army, but they said that it was too important and so they stayed and fought Mexico. They lost since it was a big difference of a army in men.

    Sam Houston ordered James Fannin to leave Goliad and retreat with his army. James Fannin took a long time and decided to take a nap in a open prairie and Santa Anna and his army were surrounding Fannin's army. They caught all of them and Fannin surrender

    This is where James Fannin died with his whole army. After Santa Anna captured them he told them to line up and he made his army kill them all even do that they told him that he wouldn't be killed he still got murderer with the rest of his army

    This is the last battle of the Revolution. Sam Houston knew that Santa Anna and his army would get tired eventually and when they did Sam Houston attacked. It was the fastest battle in history because it was 18 minutes long. It was a victory of Texas and this is when Santa Anna surrender and Texas got its independence from Mexico
