    Battle of Gonzales
    The Battle of Gonzales was the first military action of the Texas Revolution. It took place October 2, 1835 by by the town of Gonzales. Even though it was a small military action it marked as the start of the Texas Revolution. It had little impact, but a lot of Texans were ready and willing to fight against the Mexican Army. Stephen F. Austin declared war after the battle.

    The Mexican Army went to San Antonio after surrendering in the rebellion. Santa Anna was angry after what happened, so he marched with them.He pushed the soldiers hard and did not let them stop. No matter how the weather was he made them keep going.

    The Consultaion of 1835 was a meeting held for delegates from different colonies to discuss the possibility of a rebellion against the Mexican Government. They were thinking of either making a deal with the Mexican Government, or staring a revolution.

    The Texas Declaration of Independence was the declaration of Independence of the Republic of Texas from Mexico in the Texas Revoltuion.It was created at the Convention of 1835 at Washington on the Brazos on March 2, 1836. It was approved on March 2, 1836
  • Texans attack on San Antonio

    James Neill distroyed the Mexican Army with artilery fire on the Alamo before dawn on December 5 while Milam and Francis W. Johnson led 2 groups in a surprise attack that seized the Veramendi and Garza houses north of the Plaza in San Antonio. Mexican cannon and Musket fire kept the Texans from giong any further that day.

    Led by Sam Houston, the Texas Army took part and defeated General Antonio Lopez from Santa Anna's forces in a fight tah killed about 700 Mexican soldiers, and 9 Texans. It oly lasted about 18-20 minutes and 730 Mexican soldiers were killed

    The Texas Declaration of Independence was made literally in onwe day. Immediately after the Convention of 1836, a group of five delegates were chosen to create the document. It was urgent, because the Alamo was under Santa Anna's siege.
    The group that created the document was George C. Childress, James Gaines, Collin McKinney, Bailey Hardeman, and Edward Conrad.

    Over a period of two weeks Mexican forces strengthened to over 2000 troops. During that time, a few reinforcements. were given to the Texans.
    The siege ended on the Morning of March 6 when The Battle of the Alamo started

    In the battle, everyone except for two of the Texans were killed. Partly to reinforce his goal of terrorizing the colonists of Texas, Santa Anna released those two people to tell the rest of the Texans what had happened.
    The Texans that were fighting got outnumbered, and were in need of supplies and it was too much for them to handle.

    When making a government a meeting was held and commisioners were chosen. Sam Houston was the Commander- in-Chief, while the commisioners were; Stephen F. Austin, William H. Warton, and Branch Archer.
