Orders

Oct 1, 1835

Alamo

Feb 23, 1836

Santa Anna troops surrounded San Antonio, and the next day, Mexicans began their seige of the Alamo.

Settlement

Mar 1, 1836

Texans met at a settlement called Washington-on-the-brazos to decide what to do about Santa Anna's troops.

13th day

Mar 1, 1836

The 13th day, Santa Anna ordered over 1800 men to storm the fortress. Texans used hailstorm out of cannons and gun fire, till they ran out of ammunition.

Freedom

Apr 1, 1836

Houston surprised Santa Anna near the San Jacinto river, and Santa Anna had to sign a treaty giving Texas its freedom.

Lone Star Republic

Texans raised the official flag of independent nation of Texas, and the nickname is Lone Star Republic.
