Built in 1892 at the corner of Bannock and Oxford, Hawthorne was part of District 22 teaching grades K-6 until 1969.

"OLD" North School was built as a K-12 school in District 7 at 3000 South Bannock.

"OLD" Lowell School was constructed in 1910 as part of District 22. This school was located on the corner of Hampden and Sherman, not far from the current-day high school.

Districts 7 and 22 become one and form Englewood School District No. 1 Arapahoe County. At that time there were 2.494 students in the district.

The first Englewood Junior-Senior High School was built on the southeast corner of Hampden and Broadway. Until 1953, students 7-12 attended this school which then became Flood Middle School.

3800 South Logan Street became the site for what is still the current day Englewood High School. The building housed grades 10-12 until 1979 when it became a four-year school. The building lies just south of Hampden.

With the construction of the new high school a few blocks down the street, the old Jr-Sr High School becomes just a junior high and later a middle school. This school remained in that capacity until 2008 when it closed as the district downsized to just one remaining middle school.

Davidson is hired and remains as the district's superintendent until jklasdfjjakldsjfjasdf. He was named Colorado's Superintendent of the Year in 1992.

The award-winning Pirate marching band was invited to perform in the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. This group was led by director, Dr. J.L. Gerardi

The student enrollment peaked in the 1950s and from 1961 to 1983 saw its population drop from 7.328 down to 3.399.

As the city of Englewood's population demographics continue to change, so does the student population. During the mid-90's, the district consistently included near 4400 students.

The population peaked in 1997 with over 4440 students but began a gradual decrease over the next decade. The district's total enrollment falls to an all-time low with just over 2700 students in the fall of 2009.

Arapahoe County voters approve the passing of a $1.5 million dollar tax levy. The decision pushed forward the plans to build a new 7-12 Jr-Sr High School.

Construction begins on the site of the current high school to build a brand new 7-12 Middle-High School.
