The Russian Revolution

  • The Decembrist Revolt

    Revolters tried as hard as they could to put the pressure on the Russian empire, but failed in the process. This gave inpiration to others and what they could do. So some military people started a organizing after the death of Alexander the I. All of their attempts againts the Russian's all had failed. After their last attempt they caught most of the people, which thhey exucted, imprisinment, and banished some to Siberia.
  • Nicholas II becomes Czar of Russia

    Nicholas became the Czar after his father Nicholas the I. Nicholas lacked the power of a real ruler, but he helped Russia through many tought times, like WWI. The Russian people still didn't like how he ruled and his ways of doing it, but in his eyes he was doing the right thing.
  • Russo-Japanese War

    The war consisted of the Russian empire and the Japanese for the Korean and Manchuria land. Russia wanted it for transportation, because their Siberian railroad wasn't enough for them. The Japanese had more of the advantage at sea than land battles. Near the end of the war Roosevelt made a peace treaty for both nations.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Protesters came to the winter palace to ask the czar for more freedoms. The czar ordered tropps to fire on the crowd killing innocent protesters. The church was also involved with the planning of this massacre.
  • Russia's involvement in WWI

    Nicholas the II was the Czar at the time. He wanted to preserve peace through the great nations, but was forced to join. This helped his monarchy, but lost more confidence with his people. He was dismissed from the war by some of the priests, because of his non-ability of war strategy.
  • March Revolution

    It was the first stage of the Russian Revolution that would come later in that year. The revolution turned into the rule of the Bolsheviks. This revolution wanted the government to be democratic-parliamentary, permanently.
  • Nicholas II adbicates the throne

    Nicholas II took the throne, because his brother rejected the crown, which he was next in line. He wasn't ruler for long, because later him and his family was killed by the Red Army. Sadly all of the members died.
  • Russian Civil War

    The Russian Civil War included the Red Army, which was lead by the Bolshevik's. It started heating up after the treaty between Germany and Russia, the communist side didn't agree with what they were doing. Nicholas II was assassinated by some of the members of the Red Army, which heated it up even more. The end of the war was declared victor by the Red Army, which they decided how Russia would be run.
  • The creation of the USSR

    The treaty of the soviets was the actual creatin of the USSR. They made the treaty so the soviets wouldn't fight each other, and if they fought other nations that they really wouldn't. After that, the USSR was formed to keep the country together.
  • Vladimir Lenin's Death

    The death of Vladimir was almost earlier, due to an assassians bullet that was found in his neck, but he recovered and was in healthy condition. Later he got a disease, which he was paralyzed and couldn't talk. He also had a fast recovery from, and went back to the Soviet Republic. But sadly he had a heart attack and eventually died of.
