    Durning his regin Alexander II passed some very important reforms. One of the most important though was the Emancipation reofrm of 1861. This was one of the first and most umportant of them, it declared all serfs have all the same and equal rights as normal citizens. This was aorund 23 million serfs that now have the same equal freedom.

    Nicholas II was Czar of Raussia for about 22 years (November 1, 1894 - March 15, 1917). Although he had a short regin, a lot happened durning the time he was Czar. For one, the Russo- Japsnse War. This was an embarssing defeat for Russia. Almost the entire Russian Baltic Fleet was lost at the Battle of Tsushima amoung over devastaing loses. Also under his regin was Russia's envolment in WWI. Durning WWI almost 3.3 million Russians were killed. Nicholas II then abdicated the throne in 1917.

Russia rallying around Nicholas II fought devastating loss after devastating loss, with practically no food, guns, or any supply at all. Russia offically signs a preliminary armistice with Germany on December 17, 1917.

    On July 17, 1918 the Romanov family lined up for a family portrait, but what they got was much more. They were all murdered by members of the Ural Soviet, this exetution was ordered by Vladimir Lenin and Yakov Sverdlov becuase they did not want the White Army to rescue them.

    Up until January 21 of 1924 Vladimir Lenin was the leader of Russia. But on that day he died of a storke. Then after his death Josef Stalin rose to be the leader of the USSR.
