    Father Gapon, a Russian Orthodox led 200,000 to the winter palace in St. Petersburg. Soldiers moved in and fired on a protesting crowd, 500 died and over 3,000 more were wounded. After this tragedy, Nicholas II was forced to grant more reforms to peasants.

    Battle from 1918-1922 between the "Reds" and "Whites". The reds had support from the peasants and were a much bigger army. The Whites had support from the government. In 1922, the "Reds" defeated the "Whites" in this Russian Civil War.
