{not sure what the day it was} Participant in the not sucessful conspiracy to overthrow czar's government. The nobles and army offercers wanted to set up a constitutionional monarchy. 5 leaders were executed and hundreds were exiled to Siberia. -
Czar Alexander Emancipates the Serfs
2.3 million recieved liberety and freedom. The serfs were granted full rights and gainined the right to marry without consent. They also owned property and buisiness. The serfs are free citizens. -

Workers striked, miltaries mutinied, and peasants unrested. It led to the Russian constitution of 1906, multi-party system, constitutional monarchy, and State Puma of the Russian Empire. -

1914-1918 Russia was seriously unprepared for the war . Had demoralizing defeats and sever shortage of supplies and food. They almost nearly an economic collapsed. -
Czar Nicholas ii Abdicates the Throne
It was during the February Revolution. He was forced to after revolts and strikes come out in Petragrad [St. Petersberg]. The military turns against him. -
Vladimir Lenin and the Bol. Capture the Winter Palace
Stormed it on oct. 25, 1917. The palace was defended by women and young boys and 10 people were killed. On November 8th, Petrograd went back to normal. -
The March Revolution
Strikes and rights are erupted in Petrograd. The mad crouds shouting "Land, Peace, Land". Nick ii sent the military out to restore things in order. But then they joined the protesters and he gave up the throne. -

Nicholas ii & Family are executed
Nick, his family, the doctor, servants, maid, waiters were taken to a basement. There were chairs for them to sit and to make it look like they're getting their picture taken. Then 11 men came in and shot them. -
Vladimir Lenin dies+Joseph Stalin becomes leader
Died from series of brain hemorrhages, Jan. 21, 1924, at age 53. Stalin outmanuvered his rials for control for the party.
