The Northern Society staged uprising but didn't organize it very well. They were taken down very easly and the leader fled immediately after they were taken down.

After his father died, Czar Nicholas II took over the thrown. He was not officially czar yet though. He just took over his spot. People did not like him as a ruler.

This was when Nicholas officialy became czar of Russia. He took over after his fathers death but wasn't crowned as czar until this date. He was the last czar and he, as well as his family, was killed to end all czars.

Japanese fleet launched a suprised attack on Russia. It was at Port Arthur. Japan kept pushing Russia back and Russia kept falling back. Eventually Japan and Russia had a battle with 89,000 casualties on the Russian side and 71,000 casualties on the Japanese side.

Protesters came to the Winter Palace to ask the czar for more freedoms. The czar ordered troop to fire on the crowd. Protester were just peacefully carrying religious icons and pictures.

Russia had the largest army in WWI. Nicholas wanted to lead the army but was persuaded not to. At the most 2,500,000 casualties in WWI from Russia alone.

The revolution only lasted about a week. It broke out spontaniously. The reasons for the March Revolution are WWI, mistakes made by the czar, and the weakness of Russia.

There was 2 main armies. There was the Red Army and the White army. There was about 12,000,000 casualties, but mostly civilians. The Red Army eventually won the civil war.

The U.S.S.R. was created by the Bolsheviks. The U.S.S.R.stands for The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. There are more than just Russia that are apart of the U.S.S.R. There are many countries that are apart of it.

Vladimir Lenin was the founder of the Bolsheviks. He was inspirer and leader when the Bolsheviks Revolution happened. Lenin became very ill when his death was arriving.
